Our bands’ name, “The Grux,” is a nod to the Dave Matthews Band itself. As revealed in a 2009 interview by Carter Beauford, DMB’s drummer, “Groo Grux,” originated as both a nickname for their late saxophonist LeRoi Moore and a representation of the unique, energetic rhythms that defines the band’s music We aim to honor this legacy by delivering mesmerizing improvisational solos and a vibe that’s all about connection and fun! We promise you’ll feel the same energy as if you were at a real DMB show.”
