Discovered by The Beatles and signed to their Apple Records label in 1968, Badfinger soon established themselves as an important part of the burgeoning “power pop” genre. “Come And Get It”, “No Matter What”, “Day After Day”, “Without You”, “Baby Blue”; their albums and hit songs were 70’s pop magic. But soon their story took a tragic turn as mismanagement and music industry malfeasance pushed their genius songwriter Pete Ham to suicide in 1975, with bandmate Tom Evans following suit in 1983.
