Grateful Talking Dead Heads was originally an event in Northwest Arkansas, put on by a members of the band Groovement, in order to play the music of the Grateful Dead and Talking Heads. It featured a solid core band, supporting a large number of guest vocalists and instrumentalists. The community really jumped on board to celebrate the music of two amazing bands, and so GTDH decided to take the best of what we’d learned and start spreading to other communities. A GTDH show aims to provide a surprising set list, performed by solid musicians, which brings the community together to support some of the most beautiful and fun music ever written.
Lucas Parker Band + Jessica Paige highlights vocalist and songwriter Jessica Paige (Voted KC’s Best Vocalist 2021 by Pitch Magazine / American Idol Semifinalist) and virtuosic guitar work of Lucas Parker whose credentials include performing alongside Warren Haynes, Joe Bonnamassa as well as appearing on NPR Tiny Desk Concert with Tech N9ne. Evoking sounds of Tedeschi Trucks Band, Brandi Carlile, and Umphrey’s McGee, Jessica & Lucas thrive in listening room and party band situations alike and are quickly gaining traction as one of the most hard-working and versatile acts to come out of the Midwest in the last several years. Set against a sonically pleasing backdrop of top-tier musicianship, their captivating live show brushes up against multiple genres ranging from americana to jazz fusion, providing an engaging experience for listeners and party-goers alike.
