Few bands stick around for thirty years. Even fewer bands leave a legacy during that time that marks them as a truly special, once-in-lifetime type band. And no band has done all that and had as much fun as Leftover Salmon.
Since their earliest days as a forward thinking, progressive bluegrass band who had the guts to add drums to the mix and who was unafraid to stir in any number of highly combustible styles into their ever evolving sound, to their role as a pioneer of the modern jamband scene, to their current status as elder-statesmen of the scene who cast a huge influential shadow over every festival they play, Leftover Salmon has been a crucial link in keeping alive the traditional music of the past while at the same time pushing that sound forward with their own weirdly, unique
style.
The band now features a lineup that has been together longer than any other in Salmon history and is one of the strongest the legendary band has ever assembled. Built around the core of
founding members Drew Emmitt and Vince Herman, the band is now powered by banjo-wiz Andy Thorn and driven by the steady rhythm section of bassist Greg Garrison, drummer Alwyn
Robinson, and dobro player & keyboardist Jay Starling.
The current lineup is continuing the long, storied history of Salmon which found them first emerging from the progressive bluegrass world and coming of age as one the original jam
bands, before rising to become architects of what has become known as Jamgrass and helping to create a landscape where bands schooled in the traditional rules of bluegrass can break free
of those bonds through nontraditional instrumentation and an innate ability to push songs in new psychedelic directions live.

Following the triumphant release of his latest album PRISM, musical revolutionary John Butler is returning to the US and Canada with his band for a spring tour of epic proportions. Forming a ferocious new band including original JBT drummer Michael Barker, Ian Peres on bass/keys and Michael Boase on percussion, these shows promise to be packed with the classics, groove-laden jams and Butler’s signature instrumental flourishes – a full two hours plus of sheer John Butler band power. Butler and his band will do what they do best, taking the audience through alt-rock explosions, heartfelt ballads and anthemic pop choruses, building on John’s legacy as one of the most revered live acts of his generation.
A master of his instruments and openhearted lyrical reflections, Butler has amassed a deeply devoted fan base, who cross the world to see him play. An activist and environmental warrior it is Butler’s grasp of melody and soul that have commanded attention for more than 20 years, superseding even the big hits such as ‘Zebra’ and ‘Better Than’, resulting in a swag of platinum records. His instrumental opus ‘Ocean’, a fan favourite, has gone viral countless times across the past decade due to the sheer talent and execution that John is known for.

Snarky Puppy Live at Granada Theater in Dallas, Tx Oct 17th!
Snarky Puppy, the five times Grammy® winning collective, “has always been a band that prioritizes the sound of the music,” says bandleader and bassist Michael League. Displaying a wide array of influences including funk, rhythm & blues, hard rock, classic soul, modern gospel, new tech, fusion and jazz, Snarky Puppy isn’t exactly a jazz band, it’s not a fusion band and it’s definitely not a jam band. It’s probably best to take Nate Chinen of the New York Times’ advice, as stated in an online discussion about the group, to “take them for what they are, rather than judge them for what they’re not.”
“Our soundscape has expanded dramatically over the years” says League. “When the band started, we were jazzier, brainy and music oriented. Moving into the Dallas scene we became groovier, more emotional, deeper in a sense. We focused more on communicating a clear message, understandable to a listener without dumbing things down”.
In January 2025 the band collaborated once more with the Metropole Orkest– the Netherlands-based hybrid ensemble renowned for fusing jazz, classical, and popular music on a symphonic scale. Captured live over three nights (January 17–19, 2025) in Utrecht, the project reunites the two groups a decade after their first joint effort, Sylva — an orchestral suite released in 2015 that earned the GRAMMY for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album the following year. The result of this collaboration – Somni – was released in November 2025 via GroundUP Music.
